Warren Miller Productions was at REAL Kiteboarding this week shooting an upcoming episode of "Epic Conditions" which airs on The Weather Channel. The show centers on amazing outdoor locations, perfect weather conditions and incredible sports adventures. Cape Hatteras has all of the above, so it was no surprise when the production team tapped REAL Kiteboarding and its Team Riders Sam Bell and Enily Vater to be featured on the episode. Local rider Dimitri Mariminedes, iKitesurf meteorologist Dave Morris and Kiteboarding Magazine's editor-in-chief Aaron Sales also will appear on the episode.

On July 17th 2009 a riverboarder joined nine cat boats for a run down the Cascade River, which is a class V. To her and other's knowledge, no one else has ever completed this stretch on a riverboard.

READ THIS!! Ok first things first; there is no point in comparing bodyboarding to stand up surfing, For all the haters out there your wasting your time.. perhaps you can put that energy into improving your own lives. So this was my 3rd video... Its NOT supposed to be amazing footage nor is the general standard of surfing.. cause it blatantly isn't so no need to slate it. What it was, was a editing attempt to make the most of bad and 'D' rate footage. As usual i'd rather be in the water than filming so only usually get the footage when conditions are past best. SO this video was made from B or worse grade footage or leftovers from other unpublished edits. I wasn't totality happy with the final edit your watching now but I had to get it over and done with. Apologies for some of the dodgy and shaky cam work (various friends first time filming) hence it being B or worse grade footage. Filmed in N.Wales and Cornwall. Second part is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7yg2jVl35c Dissclaimer: many people think you need to learn with a trainer kite and take at least 5 hours of lessons before you can try on your own. Use this video at your own risk. Also the video generated a lot of feedback from experienced kiters which you can find on google. The main issue is the leash, many people are religious about always attaching a leash and most of them don't know what they are talking about. 1. always use leash on c kite, or on a 5 line kite, on a bow you can get away without one 2. always try to choose an empty beach with noone around and low wind. then you dont need a leash. if wind is strong or there are people you need a leash. 3. leash on a bow is complicated and dangerous. make sure you test out landing the kite on a leash if you do decide to use it before going out. understand what is a suicide configuration and why is it called so. If you have to pull the red thing in an emergency leash will prevent the kite from flying into people on the beach and killing them. The leash part is skipped in this video. Kitesurfing 101 part 1 of 2. This 20 minutes video will almost ensure that if you order your equipment online and turn up at your local beach you have a chance of going home with unbroken bones and your kite intact. Avoid accidents and crash, take lessons if you can.
